Husqvarna waiting period along with KTM to increase by 90 days.
After the existing stocks clear, you’ll have to wait more for KTM and Husqvarna bikes. Bajaj Auto is facing production constraints along with other issues. The waiting will extend up to 90 days.
The bike maker is having supply chain issues due to the lockdown in this pandemic crisis. Moreover, they have a backlog of exports to clear.
While the restrictions have eased out for manufacturing, there are still a lot of obstacles. The plant is working in limited shifts and the production capacity utilisation currently is very low.
The waiting period will vary on model to model. The smaller 125cc bikes will see about a month of waiting. The 200cc Duke and RC models have 45 days of waiting.
The KTM 250 and 390 models including RC, Duke and Adventure will have a 2 month long waiting. Husqvarna waiting period for Vitpilen 250 is 45 days. Svartpilen 250 has the maximum 3 months of waiting.
The company will be clearing export backup first as the European region is open after lockdown. The domestic market is expected to see a spike in 2-wheeler sales in the coming months.
That will be the time when bike makers will have difficulties in delivering the products on time. 2-wheeler makers have to ramp up their production for festive season as well. Currently, the production capacity is not being fully utilised. The supply chain too will take some time to revive back to normal.
