The Honda Activa has been the market king ever since it was first launched many years back. Honda has kept on upgrading the Activa to keep up with the growing market and now the manufacturer has unveiled the new Activa 125 at the 2014 Auto Expo. The Activa commands a huge waiting period and people are even willing to pay a premium to get their hands on this scooter quickly. The main reason for the Activa’s success is Honda’s reliability and perception of good after sales service.
The Honda Activa 125 is powered by a new 125cc engine which gives improved power, quick acceleration and good mileage. The Activa 125 outputs 8.6 BHP of power and 10.12 Nm of torque. Honda has loaded the Activa 125 with combi-brake system, optional front disc brake, tubeless tyres and a digital instrument cluster. The scooter’s body is made up of metal. Some other cosmetic changes on the Activa 125 include clear turn indicators, redesigned headlight and tail light, new instrument cluster and alloy wheels.
The Activa 125 uses telescopic front forks unlike its younger sibling. Right now Honda has only showcased this product and it will roll it out in the market later this year. Seeing the past success of the Activa, we don’t even need to speculate that this one is also going to be a sure-shot hit. Honda is also showcasing other 2-wheelers like the CBR500R, CBR650F, Goldwing, PCX125, CBR1000RR SP, CB Trigger, Dream Yuga, etc.
