Honda has come up with a very cool video to showcase its journey as a brand over the past 60 years. It shows various businesses the Japanese brand is involved in.
In today’s world, every brand spends heavily on advertising. Roping in celebrities seems to be the in thing and most companies aim to get the biggest celebrity they can afford. The same has been the case with automobile companies too. But, now they have realised that such ads have become increasingly common and that customers wish to see something new. Also, with the rise in social media usage, the viewership of print ads and television ads has gone down. So how does a brand advertise then? Honda has found a great way.
Honda has come up with a short video on YouTube which showcases their journey in the past six decades. No, they haven’t put in old videos and pictures nor do they have anyone talking in the video. The journey is represented by various hand-drawn illustrations which are being manipulated by various animators creating an excellent looking video. Starting with cycles, the video shows the early bikes from the brand post which it goes on to show the Isle of Man wins of Honda from 1961-1967. It then shows the boat engines which the company has been making since years now.
Coming to cars, the video features the Honda S500 which was the first production car from the brand. It features various other cars which were revolutionary at the time they were launched and even includes the much coveted NSX. Not only these elements, it also showcases the racing pedigree of Honda and the diverse events they have participated in ranging from autocross to F1. What’s more? It shows the off-roading quads as well as motocross bikes. Oh and do not miss the humanoid robot in the video which was a big project for the Japanese giant.
This is not the first time Honda has made such an awesome ad. They have made iconic ads before too and you can check them out below.
