Honda NX500 launched, bookings open, to be available via Big Wing dealerships
Honda enthusiasts in India have reason to rejoice as the much anticipated Honda NX500 adventure tourer has launched, priced at Rs. 5.90 lakhs (ex-showroom).
It is imported to India directly via CBU route. Available in three colours – Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Horizon White.
With an initial booking amount of Rs. 10,000/-, interested buyers can secure their spot for this mid-capacity adventure motorcycle at Honda Big Wing dealerships across the country. Deliveries will begin from February 2024.
The Honda NX500 is set to fill the void left by the discontinuation of the CB500X, offering a more purposeful and rugged appeal in the adventure touring segment. It comes with a rally-bike style fairing, a tall windscreen and an ergonomic seating position.
Sporting a diamond frame beneath the bodywork, the NX500 features a suspension setup comprising a USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, equipped with block-pattern tyres for off-road performance. Braking duties are handled by twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.
Powering the NX500 is a 471cc parallel-twin engine producing 47 BHP at 8600 RPM and 43 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It has a seat height of 830 mm, which is rather accessible for a wider audience.
In terms of features, the motorcycle gets a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity and navigation capabilities operated by a backlit switchgear.
Set to compete with the likes of the Kawasaki Versys 650.
