Honda Mobilio Is A Smart Looking MPV, Video Presentation Released

Honda has launched the Mobilio in Indonesia and soon we will see the Brio based MPV on our roads. The Japanese carmaker has released a video of the compact MPV, revealing the details and highlights of their latest offering. In terms of styling, the Honda Mobilio looks just like the Brio and Amaze up front with a redesigned chrome grille and revised bumper specific to the MPV. The side profile looks sleek unlike the conventional boxy MPVs, thanks to the strong crease lines.

The Honda Mobilio looks most attractive from the rear angle, where it gets a wide and angular tail lamp cluster, chiseled tail gate and a sporty rear bumper. Some of the highlights of the exteriors include Ultraviolet glass protection, front fog lamps, rear spoiler with high mounted LED brake lights and rear wiper. On the inside, the Mobilio has the same design as the Brio and Amaze but with an extra third row of seats for two people and apparently cleverly spaced out boot.

The interior highlights of the Honda Mobilio include a tilt adjustable steering wheel, multi-information display, Eco meter, audio system with CD, AUX and USB input, roof mounted AC vents, one touch tumble seats and so on. The Honda Mobilio will have a turning radius of 5.2 metres, ground clearance of 189 mm, McPherson struts at the front and torsion beam at the rear. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD and engine immobiliser.

The Honda Mobilio will be powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine. Honda India will localise the Mobilio extensively to achieve a competitive price tag. With the Honda Mobilio, the Japanese carmaker plans to compete head on with the segment leading Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy. Soon Datsun will also launch the GO+ MPV in the same segment. Honda will pull the wraps off the Mobilio at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo for the Indian audience.
