Honda will be replacing the Twister 110cc motorcycle with the Livo, which is part of the 15 new products that the company has planned for launch in 2015 in the country.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has planned 15 new launches in the country this year, nine of which were introduced to the market at an event back in February. The Japanese automaker still has six new products scheduled for launch and we can now vouch that one of them will be the Livo 110cc commuter motorcycle, which will replace the outgoing Twister in the company’s lineup. Spotted several times in the past, these spy shots emerged online reveal new elements on the bike while also confirming the ‘Livo’ moniker that was spotted on the instrument console.
To begin with, the styling on the new Honda Livo shares traits with the 2015 CB Unicorn 160 and gets the new bikini fairing on the fuel tank and sharp looking headlight cowl. The headlight cluster though appears to be similar to the one seen on the existing Twister. The Livo is most likely underpinned by the same platform as the Dream Series and shares several parts from the bin including the rear shocks, front mudguard, and the turn indicators. The side panels and tail piece are new while the tail light is a slightly modified version of the one seen on the Dream motorcycles. The exhaust muffler’s design has been borrowed from the Unicorn 160’s unit, only smaller in size.
Coming to the instrument cluster, the Honda Livo gets a twin pod unit with other indicators in the centre. The switchgear and handlebar are carried over from other Honda models. In terms of power, the Twister’s 110cc will feature on the Livo with more refined power delivery and improved fuel efficiency figures. Aimed at young and urban buyers, the bike will come with a slightly sporty riding position while the front set foot pegs will keep the overall stance comfortable. Apart from the Livo, Honda will also launch the refreshed Aviator and new motorcycle with start-stop technology this year.
