Honda Launches 7-Year Unlimited Kilometres Warranty On Petrol Models

Honda City & Amaze Special Editions

Honda offers 7 year unlimited km extended warranty within 2 years from car purchase

Honda Cars India has introduced a pioneering extended warranty program, offering up to 7 years of unlimited kilometre coverage on several of its popular petrol models. The new warranty applies to petrol variants of the Honda Elevate, City, Amaze and the City Hybrid. This marks an industry-first initiative, aimed at providing peace of mind to customers with an extended period of coverage.

Extended Warranty Coverage Details

The extended warranty can be availed on new purchases as well as by existing customers. Honda’s latest program allows customers to opt for the ‘7 Years Unlimited Kilometers Extended Warranty’ within two years of purchasing their vehicle. Those who have already enrolled in extended warranty schemes covering up to the 4th or 5th year can also upgrade to the 7-year plan. However, in such cases, the coverage will be capped at 1,50,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

While this new warranty applies to the Honda Elevate, City, Amaze and City Hybrid, owners of previous models such as the Civic, Jazz and WR-V can also benefit from the program if they had already enrolled in extended warranty schemes.

Key Features of the Warranty

Potential Benefits for Buyers

This initiative is expected to attract new buyers and provide enhanced assurance to existing customers. The extended warranty could appeal particularly to buyers who plan to retain their vehicles long-term or those with high driving mileage, such as commuters and fleet operators. Additionally, the transferable nature of the warranty might increase the resale value of these cars, adding another layer of financial security for owners.

A Competitive Move in the Indian Market

By offering a warranty that outlasts many competitors’ extended coverage programs, Honda is taking a bold step in addressing customer concerns regarding long-term maintenance costs. As vehicles become more advanced and expensive to repair, extended warranties are increasingly seen as a practical investment. With this initiative, Honda aims to establish a stronger bond of trust with its customer base, while positioning itself competitively in the market.
