Honda Jazz BS6 has been launched with a starting price tag of Rs. 7.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) and with the latest update, it comes in petrol-only form and three trim levels – V, VX and ZX.
Design of the car has not changed drastically over the pre-facelift model. At the front, there is a redesigned grille with the bar that cuts across and houses the emblem, now in gloss black with chrome accents.
Headlights are now LED units with the top trim getting a different design, the fog lights are now LEDs as well, and the front bumper has received some tweaks too.
There are no changes down the sides of the car, but at the rear, there is a new bumper and a “Wing Light” LED tail lamps to complete the exterior design refresh.
Inside, the dashboard looks identical to the pre-facelift model, but look closely and there are differences to note. For example, there are chrome rings on steering wheel controls, soft touch pad on the passenger side, and there is a sunroof option as well.
A few new features have now been added to the manual gearbox variants this time around as befits the Honda Jazz BS6 price, like cruise control, start/stop button and Smart Key system with keyless remote.
The premium hatchback segment contender will come powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 90 PS and 110 Nm and comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 7-step CVT and the latter will see the addition of paddle shifters on the steering column.
Fuel efficiency figures for the 5-speed manual transmission is 16.6 km/l and for the CVT is 17.1 km/l. The Jazz will be available with a choice of five colour options – Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic.
Warranty-wise, the car comes with 3 years/unlimited kilometres warranty as standard. Customers can extend it by up to two years/unlimited kilometres, while they can also opt for a 3-year annual maintenance package (30,000 km) for Rs. 11,670/-.
