Honda Motorcycle has just unleashed the Goldwing touring bike at the 2014 Auto Expo and we’re mighty impressed. It comes with one of the best engine and chassis combinations found on touring bikes throughout the world. The Honda Goldwing comes with everything that you could ask for and maybe a wee bit more. It is loaded with satellite navigation and an audio system with iPod connectivity too. It is possible to hook up the navigation system to your PC and download maps and plan your trips with Honda’s Trip Planner.
The storage space in the latest version of the Honda Goldwing has been increased to 150-litres which includes the trunk, fairing pockets and saddle bags. The new waterproof seat has been made up of urethane which makes long rides comfortable for both pillion and rider. Since this is a tourer bike meant for long rides, chances are you’ll experience a lot of cold weather conditions and hence Honda has added heated grips, heated rider and passenger seat and a heated footrest too! The glovebox has a capacity of 2.8-litres and it is lockable. The front windscreen is adjustable and it has six settings with a total travel range of 4-inches.
The manufacturer is offering four variants of this motorcycle. The Goldwing Audio Comfort comes with a 1832cc 6-cylinder engine and it comes with heated grips, seat and footrest, premium surround sound, cruise control and electric reverse as standard. The Goldwing Audio Comfort Navi XM comes with the above features along with satellite navigation and XM Radio with weather and traffic updates. The Goldwing Audio Comfort ABS comes with added Combined ABS option and finally the Honda Goldwing Airbag variant comes with all the features that we mentioned along with an airbag which is a first for a motorcycle.
