The extensive teaser campaign will end as the launch of the Honda City hybrid is right around the corner
Honda India, through a series of tweets, released the teaser of the City Hybrid, its upcoming electrified model that which will come with a switchable hybrid system.
To become a unique proposition in the C-segment sedan market, the City Hybrid, going by the teasers, is likely set to be introduced in the top-spec ZX grade with all the bells and whistles.
The hybrid sedan has a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine making 98 HP and 127 Nm of torque, a starter-generator and an electric motor (109 HP and 253 Nm) providing the drive.
From the teaser, it is evident that the car comes with an electric sunroof, boot lid lip spoiler, among other things for a sportier profile. But, if reports are to be believed, the sedan will be sold in India with advanced driver-assistance systems.
Unofficial bookings have already commenced for the model, which, in all likelihood, will come with a rather premium price tag. But, it should also hold the status of being India’s most fuel efficient petrol-powered sedan.
