The Honda City Hybrid booking process has finally commenced!

Some Honda dealerships have begun the unofficial booking process for the City Hybrid ahead of the model’s official reveal scheduled to take place on 14th April.

The hybrid version of the best-selling C-segment sedan sold in India will look very much like the standard model, but it should adopt the more sportier look of the City RS not retailed here.

But what this car is all about is the powertrain, which makes more sense now more than ever in India given how fuel prices have been skyrocketing here recently, war or no war.

The sedan comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine (98 HP and 127 Nm) that is teamed to 2 electric motors. While one motor acts as a starter-generator, the other (109 HP and 253 Nm) drives the front wheels.

A Lithium-ion battery pack (placed in the back of the sedan) provides juice to the electric motors and thus, the City Hybrid can be driven in pure electric mode for a specified distance.

Since news about the commencement of Honda City Hybrid booking process has broke out, it won’t take much time for an official statement on the same to arrive from the Japanese brand.

During the official unveil of the vehicle, which could be launched in May, Honda should reveal all the details about the car, including in what grades the City Hybrid will be sold in India.
