Honda City facelift launch expected in March 2023
Honda City facelift launch is due and the Japanese carmaker is planning to introduce the updated sedan in March 2023 in India. It will come with cosmetic changes, new features and new variants.
We spotted the facelifted prototype under heavy camouflage on a flat bed track few months back. While the details were not very clear but we could notice some changes in the rear profile with a larger cutout for tail lights.
The front profile is expected to come with a new grille design and revised headlamps and new bumper. You can expect minimal changes on the side profile but new alloy wheel design is likely to be offered.
The interior will remain unchanged but might come with new trim colours. It is expected to get new features to keep the competition in check.
There will be some changes in the engine options. Honda will no longer offer the 1.5-litre diesel engine with the City to meet the updated norms. They will only offer the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid engine.
Hyundai is also preparing to launch the new generation Verna later this year. The City facelift will have a tough competition with the new Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and the likes.
