Honda City facelift is all set to launch in India before its launch schedule. It will get Honda Greiz inspired updates on the exteriors and interiors.
Honda considers the City as their flagship car in their Indian lineup and is betting big on the C-Segment sedan since it’s getting decent sales to the Japanese automaker. The current generation City was launched in India in 2014 and just after 3 years of its launch, Honda will introduce the City facelift in India early next year.
The mid-life updated of the City will get drastic changes in terms of exterior styling. The update will be inspired by the Honda Greiz introduced in China recently. The car will get heavily updated front profile with new headlights, grille and bumper. The side profile will see new pattern 16-inch alloys while the rear gets new tail lights.
The interiors won’t get many changes but Honda will be offering a new infotainment system with sizeable touchscreen display and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Apart from these updates, they will be offering a few more features to keep the C-Segment sedan up to date.
The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine options will remain unchanged. However, Honda will be offering a new 6-speed manual transmission with the petrol engine replacing the 5-speed manual. Hyundai is also preparing to launch the new generation Verna in India very soon.
