Honda has launched the Brio Exclusive Edition in time for the festive season. The launch of this limited edition variant also marks the second anniversary of the Brio in the Indian market. The Brio Exclusive Edition is based on the SMT variant and comes with all black interiors comprising of new upholstery and matching interior trims, instrument panel and roof lining. On the exterior front, Honda has given the Brio Exclusive edition quite a few changes to distinguish it from regular models.
The Honda Brio Exclusive Edition gets a rear spoiler along with an accessory kit consisting of muffler finisher, reversing sensors, door visor and illuminated side-step garnish. The vehicle is a festive season special and will feature an ‘Exclusive’ badge on the body. The Exclusive Brio is offered in three colours namely Silver, White and Red. Honda has priced the Brio Exclusive Edition at Rs. 4.92 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The regular Brio SMT is priced at Rs. 4.62 lakhs (Rs. 3500/- extra for metallic colours). You do get your money’s worth for the extra Rs. 30,000/- you shell out for this limited edition model.
The Honda Brio is powered by a 1.2-litre, i-VTEC petrol engine which belts out 88 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 109 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. The Brio is offered with both manual and automatic transmissions and is likely to get a diesel engine next year. Honda has sold more than 54,000 units of the Brio in the Indian market till date which is quite an achievement considering the tough competition in the hatchback segment. The Brio platform spawned the way for the Amaze and Honda will launch the Mobilio MPV next year which will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
