The Honda CBR250RR power figures and details have leaked before its official announcement. The specs look impressive on paper but we in India won’t get to buy it.
The Honda CBR250RR which was recently unveiled has its details leaked. An image has appeared on the internet revealing all about the motorcycle. The quarter-litre bike will come with a 250cc parallel-twin engine producing 36.8 PS of power at 12,500 RPM and maximum torque of 22.5 Nm at 10,500 RPM. This makes the Honda CBR250RR more powerful than its competitors in the segment namely the Kawasaki Z250 SL and much more powerful than the CBR250R. The motorbike comes with a low seat height of 790 mm and ride by wire throttle control.
Further, it comes with a 6-speed transmission. Suspension duties are handled by inverted telescopic forks up front and by a 5-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. The Honda CBR250RR weighs 168 kgs for the ABS model (165 kgs for the standard) and has a fuel tank capacity of 16.5-litres. The motorcycle is claimed to have a top speed of 169 km/hr.
The Honda CBR250RR has a super aggressive design language and looks stunning. The headlamps up front look aggressive and convey the sporty nature of the motorcycle. Sadly, for the Indian fans there is nothing to rejoice as the CBR250RR will not be launched in India anytime soon. Our country continues to be neglected by Honda in the premium motorcycle category. We Indians only get old bikes with new paint jobs.
