The Honda CBR150R, 250R replacement models likely to be launched this fiscal year.
Honda, especially CBR fans, it’s time for you to rejoice! Asking why? The replacement models of the CBR150R, CBR250R are likely to be launched this financial year.
Honda had stopped production of the CBR150R and CBR250R owing to them not being BS4 compliant. It has been over 7 months and Honda has still not brought out any replacements for both the models. We now hear that the company will not bring in only a BS4 compliant CBR150R and CBR250R but will replace them with new and fresh models.
Both the CBR150 and CBR250R have been around for quite a long time in the Indian market. Honda only kept updating them with new colours and graphics. Earlier this year, Honda had said that two new scooters and bikes will be launched this financial year. Of them, two have come in the form of the Africa Twin and Cliq. Honda is yet to launch another scooter and a motorcycle.
It is highly possible that the next bike could be the replacement of the CBR150R or CBR250R. If it’s the CBR250R, then expect the CBR300R or the 2017 CBR250R to be launched this year which will rival the KTM RC 390, Benelli 302R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the upcoming TVS Apache RR 310S.
If it’s the CBR150R, then we could see the 2017 version of the bike. The motorcycle is already on sale in the international markets and has seen a major improvement over the previous model. The 2017 Honda CBR150R will rival the Yamaha R15 V2.0. With the Yamaha R15 V3.0 set to debut next year, the 150cc supersport segment will get to see a lot of action.
