Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP 30th Anniversary Edition costs £23,999 (Rs. 23.87 lakhs) in the UK
Honda has showcased the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP 30th Anniversary Edition at the EICMA motorcycle show, today.
The limited edition model celebrating 30 years of Fireblade was shown along with other products that from the Japanese manufacturer’s European line-up for 2022.
Sporting a tricolour paint scheme, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP 30th anniversary edition pays faithful homage to the original Fireblade, the CBR900RR, that was introduced in 1992.
Apart from the special paint scheme that is a recreation of the original livery, the motorcycle has a blue seat, special ‘Ring of Fire’ animation on the digital display, and 30th Anniversary logo and badging.
But that is not all. Having updated the Fireblade range for model year 2022, Honda has applied all the changes to this limited edition model as well.
Honda says it has tweaked the motorcycle’s electronics package, improved its cornering stability and revised the Fireblade’s intake ports, airbox funnels and exhaust mid-section for better response in the mid-range.
Also, the final drive sprocket has gained 3 teeth (now 43) for improved acceleration, while the motorcycle’s front Nissin brake calipers’ pistons are made from a new material and have a different surface finish for improved braking performance.
Power comes from a 999.9cc, inline 4-cylinder motor tuned to make 214.5 BHP at 14,500 RPM and 113 Nm of torque at 12,500 RPM teamed to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and quickshifter.
Apart from revealing the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP 30th anniversary edition, Honda has also updated the FIreblade SP’s wheels, which now come in gold colour.
