2021 Honda CB650R & CBR650R Launched, Priced From Rs. 8.67 Lakhs

Honda has launched the CB650R for the first time in India with a price tag of Rs. 8.67 lakhs (ex-showroom, Gurugram), today.

In addition, the bike manufacturer has also introduced the 2021 model year CBR650R at Rs. 8.88 lakhs (ex-showroom, Gurugram), here.

Both motorcycles are brought in as Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units and are powered by a 649cc in-line 4-cylinder engine. However, they sport different looks and serve different purposes.

First up is the debutant (in India) – the neo sports cafe inspired 2021 CB650R. Sporting a twin-tube type frame, the naked motorcycle has a sculpted fuel tank and minimal bodywork.

The 2021 Honda CB650R price gets customers full-LED lighting, wherein the circular headlight has a black bezel, while the tail lamp is rather small. There are tapered handlebars, dual air intake ducts, 4-into-1 exhaust, and 5-spoke Y-shaped 17-inch aluminium wheels wrapped with 120/70-section front and 180/55-section rear tyres.

The bike weighs 206 kg (wet), has a 15.4-litre fuel tank, 41 mm Showa USD front forks, and the braking hardware consists of dual 310 mm front discs (four-piston callipers) and single 240 mm rear disc with single-piston calliper.

It can be had in 2 colours, either in Candy Chromosphere Red or in Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.

On the other hand, the 2021 Honda CBR650R sports a Fireblade inspired styling and shares most of the cycle parts with its naked sibling. However, it weighs 5 kg more, and can be had in either Grand Prix Red or Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.

Both motorcycles sport a 649cc, DOHC 16-valve engine that makes a maximum of 85.8 BHP at 12,000 RPM and a peak torque output of 57.5 Nm at 8500 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and also has an assist/slipper clutch.

Furthermore, both models sport an electronic anti-theft device, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), and a digital LCD instrument cluster.

Starting today, bookings are open for both at the brand’s BigWing Topline dealerships situated in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Indore, Kochi and Mumbai.
