Thanks to the growing demand of CB300R, Honda is planning to locally manufacture the bike.
The Honda CB300R launched in India in February 2019 via the CKD route. The bike was an instant hit in the country and it sold out within 2 months of its launch.
The Japanese bike maker initially planned to sell around 500 units of the bike. They have now sold more than 550 units in the country and continue to take bookings from their Wing World outlets.
Looking at the great demand of the Honda CB300R, the bike maker is considering to manufacture the motorcycle in India soon. They are currently focussing on the BS6 transition of their lineup and after April they will study the feasibility of manufacturing the CB300R in India.
The retro-neo cafe racer is powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 30 BHP and 27 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Honda CB300R has been sold out for 2019 but the bookings are still open.
