Honda doubles the production of the CB300R to increase the supply of the bike.
The Honda CB300R was launched in India, priced at Rs. 2.41 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The bike is placed in a price bracket where it will be competing with the Bajaj Dominar 400, BMW G 310R, KTM Duke 390 and RE Interceptor 650.
Honda officials have said that the three-month production of the CB300R is booked and for the company to increase the production, they will have to run double shifts at the CKD production line. This is will only be the case if the demand is high so that the customers don’t have to wait long for their bikes.
The Honda CB300R is a neo sports cafe themed bike and is powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, DOHC engine that belts out 31.4 BHP at 8500 RPM and 27.5 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike also comes with Michelin Pilot Street tyres, rather than the Dunlop wrapped wheels on the international spec motorcycle.
