Honda seems to be readying an RS version of the Brio and the cute little hatchback gets an aggressive stance now. Just like the Mobilio RS, the Brio RS won’t get any mechanical changes.
The Honda Brio was launched in India long back and the vehicle is quite dated now, when we directly compare it to competition. The Japanese automaker has been known to churn out RS versions of its cars and these variants come with a lot of sporty elements, thus increasing the appeal of the vehicle. Seen here in pictures is the Honda Brio RS which has been spotted for the very first time ever. The model gets quite a few sporty bits on the outside.
The front bumper is all new and it carries a striking design. It is also bigger in size compared to the one on the regular model. The air dam grille gets a tweak in design while the main grille that houses the Honda logo also gets a design refresh. The headlights get new LED DRLs in them too. The side profile is similar to the regular Honda Brio and the only noticeable changes are the new alloy wheels which get an attractive design.
The rear is not seen in the pictures but it is expected to get new tail lights, tail gate mounted spoiler and a refreshed bumper. The vehicle seen in the pictures also has a new shade of red that wasn’t available in our market earlier. The interiors of the vehicle aren’t seen but we expect Honda to add a few sporty bits there too. The Honda Brio is available with a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 88 PS of power and 118 Nm of torque and the vehicle is paired to a 5-speed manual as well as automatic gearbox.
The number of hatchbacks that are offered in India have grown by a very large number and all of them have something unique to offer. The Brio hasn’t been given even a significant update ever since it was launched. The Brio RS version is mostly going to be sold in overseas markets but Honda might just consider bringing it to India as the Mobilio RS is also sold here.
