The premium motorcycle wing of Honda is expanding its portfolio with the planned 2021 Goldwing launch
Honda is set to launch the big daddy of tourers, the Goldwing, which was updated for 2021, in India soon, a post shared by Honda BigWing India revealed.
Releasing the above image, the Japanese bike manufacturer’s premium motorcycle division wrote: “Calling all the connoisseurs of roads and riding” on its Twitter handle yesterday.
The Goldwing was updated for 2021 at the start of the year to basically make it even better at what it does best – touring – and it has already gone on sale in many overseas markets.
While the styling of the motorcycle pretty much remains the same, it got new colour options, an upgraded audio system and the ‘Tour’ variant features more storage (121 litres in all) and a more relaxed back rest angle for the pillion rider.
Also, Honda claims the Goldwing’s seats are more comfortable now due to them being covered in a suede/synthetic leather mix material, which should help the motorcycle’s cause.
Features such as a full LED lighting, an electrically adjustable flyscreen, 7-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, are on offer on the bike that is powered by a 1833cc, 6-cylinder engine that makes 125 HP and 170 Nm of torque.
Despite the bike being offered with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT overseas, in India, it is likely to only be a DCT offering, which should make living with the bike a bit more easier.
When the 2021 Honda Goldwing launch takes place in India, both the regular variant and the Tour variant are likely to be offered and the motorcycle should come with a rather steep price tag.
