Honda has launched new variants, VX (O) for the Amaze and VXBL for the Brio that comes with touch screen AVN system and additional features.
Honda has launched new range topping variants for the Brio and Amaze that come loaded with Audi-Video Navigation (AVN) on a 15.7 cm touch screen with connectivity options including DVD/CD, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, iPod, MP3 and FM/AM. The Honda Brio gets a new VXBL variant that also comes with black interiors and power foldable ORVMs, which was not available with the hatch earlier. The Amaze gets VX(O) variant for the additional features.
The power foldable ORVMs and rear defogger are now available as standard from the SX variant in the Honda Amaze. The speedometer on both the cars gets cosmetic changes. It is treated with white illumination and blue gradation. Honda has made the changes as a result of customer feedback. Both the Amaze and Brio were not as well equipped as their rivals but now the new changes come like a breath of fresh air.
Nothing has been changed on the exterior on both the cars but the all-black interiors of the Brio looks sporty and better than the mismatching colours of lower variant dashboards. Now that the Maruti Swift comes with more features and the Hyundai Grand i10 already packed with loads of goodies, new variant of the Honda Brio is a step forward. Same is the case with the Honda Amaze rivals, where the Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest offer great value and Maruti DZire facelift is coming soon with additional features.
Honda has dispatched more than 1.25 lakh units of the Amaze since its launch in 2013, thanks to the i-DTEC diesel engine. The Honda Brio has managed around 70,000 units since its launch in 2011. In order to boost the volumes of Amaze, Honda has confirmed the launch of CNG variant for the compact sedan very soon.
