Honda Activa Premium price is costlier than the STD model by Rs. 3000/-, gets Golden garnish at the front
After teasing for a while, Honda has launched the Activa Premium Edition for a price tag of Rs. 75,400/- (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The scooter is available in a lone Deluxe variant. It’s costlier than the Activa 6G STD by Rs. 3000/-.
The new Premium Edition gets Golden wheels, Gold-coated front garnish, 3D Gold-coated emblem, premium logo, Cafe Brown themed inners extending to the foot board, and Saddle Brown coloured seat.
There are 3 colours on offer – Pearl Siren Blue, Mat Marshall Green Metallic, and Mat Sangria Red Metallic. All the 3 colours are unique and were never seen on the Activa before.
Built based on the regular Activa 6G, the rest of the aspects of the all-new Activa Premium are same as the scooter it’s based on. Power comes from a 109.51 cc BS 6 compliant engine that produces 7.7 HP at 8000 RPM and 8.84 Nm at 5500 RPM.
The existing Activa 6G, which was launched back in January, 2020, is a due for an update as the Japanese maker has the habit of refreshing the Activa every couple of years.
But, still, the next generation model is not in sight yet. So, the Activa Premium would be a stop-gap measure till its arrival sometime later this year or early next year.
Since its launch more than 2 decades back, the Activa, the country’s largest selling scooter, has come a long way. From being criticised time and again for not going as per the trend, the Activa is, now, 1 of the most advanced and feature loaded scooters out there.
The current model has enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, start/stop, integrated starter generator for silent crank up, front telescopic suspension with 12-inch wheel, 3-step adjustable rear suspension, external fuel filler cap, and DC LED headlamp.
In addition, the scooter has full metal body, more floor space and longer seat for added comfort. It also comes with increased wheelbase and high ground clearance.
