The Hero XPulse sees the light of the day at 2017 EICMA, in concept form though.
Hero has revealed its new off-roader bike at the ongoing 2017 EICMA Motor Show. The bike is called XPulse and is in its concept stage. The adventure offering will be available in dual variants – a dedicated off-roader variant and a touring-friendly variant.
Hero started the adventure bike segment in India with the Impulse (discontinued), back in 2011 and is now intending to grow in the particular segment with the XPulse. While details on the new adventure motorcycle are sketchy, we can expect the bike to come powered by a 200cc single-cylinder engine. This is expected to be the same 200cc motor that also powers the upcoming Xtreme 200S.
The concept bike reveals a long travel front suspension, raised front mudguards, handlebar knuckle guards, LED headlight, spoked black wheels with off-road-oriented tyres, additional lights mounted on the engine crash bar, underbelly engine guard, front and rear disc brakes with ABS and side panniers. How many of these will make it to the production bike is what remains to be seen.
The Hero XPulse will also be sold in global markets. We can expect an India launch sometime in 2018.
