Hero has introduced the BS6 version of the Super Splendor, available in two variants.
As the BS6 emission deadline is nearing, the auto industry is busy rolling out compliant products for the same. Now, Hero has introduced the BS6 version of the Super Splendor. Priced from Rs. 67,300/- (ex-showroom) onwards, the bike now gets an option to choose from two variants – Drum and Disc.
The Drum Alloy wheel version is priced at Rs 67,300/- which is a Rs. 5500/- premium from the BS4 version of the motorcycle while the higher-spec model, Disc Alloy wheel is priced at Rs 70,800/-. The BS4 motorcycle, in comparison, was available in a single variant and it was sold at Rs 61,800/- (all prices, ex-showroom).
The other changes include a fuel-injected motor with a new 5-speed gearbox, new diamond frame, greater ground clearance and longer suspension travel. The motorcycle now produces more power than the BS4 version. While the BS4 version of the Super Splendor produced 9 BHP and 10.35 Nm of torque, the BS6 version produces 10.73 BHP and 10.6 Nm of torque.
Hero MotoCorp has retained the i3S technology, updated the braking setup and introduced new colour schemes on the BS6 model. The updated colour palette comprises of Metallic Nexus Blue with Glaze Black, Heavy Grey, and Candy Blazing Red.
