Hero Splendor Plus XTEC gets updated with new features
Hero Splendor Plus XTEC 2.0 launched, priced at Rs. 82,911/- (ex-showroom). The Indian two-wheeler maker is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the world’s highest-selling motorcycle with the introduction of this update, which comes with some new features on offer.
Visually, the Splendor Plus XTEC remains more or less the same. However, it comes with three dual tone colour options that include Matte Grey, Gloss Black and Gloss Red.
Hero is offering LED headlights with HIPL (High Intensity Position Lamp). They claim it comes with a new and improved headlight system that provides a wider spread and reach for improved night-time visibility through a brighter and constant light output. There is an H-shaped signature tail lamp on offer.
Powering the motorcycle is a 100cc engine producing 7.9 BHP at 8000 RPM and a torque of 8.05 Nm at 6000 RPM. This engine returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 73 km/l. The Splendor comes with the i3s (Idle Stop Start System) tech. It has a service interval of 6000 km.
Some of the features include digital speedometer with Eco-indicator, RTMI (Real Time Mileage indicator), Bluetooth connectivity for call, SMS and battery alert, service reminder, USB charger, hazard lights, etc. Additionally, the bike gets longer seat for increased comfort and a larger glove box with a hinge-type design for added convenience. There is a side-stand engine cutoff function and bank angle sensor.
