Hero MotoCorp hasn’t officially announced the launch of the Splendor iSmart yet but the company has dispatched bikes to the dealerships while also starting deliveries of the motorcycle. The national launch of the Hero Splendor iSmart is set to happen anytime soon and the company will make the availability official through a press release. Hero MotoCorp has priced the Splendor iSmart at a premium of Rs. 2000/- over the regular Splendor Pro model.
Thus the Hero Splendor iSmart is priced at Rs. 57,200/- (on-road, Navi Mumbai). The dealers have received display as well as test ride bikes. As per our conversation with the salesman, the company has received good response for the Splendor iSmart and bookings have been coming their way. In fact the demand has far exceeded supply leading to a waiting period of a couple of weeks. The Splendor is the world’s top selling motorcycle and the iSmart variant gets some world first features to this commuter bike.
The Hero Splendor iSmart gets i3S technology, which stands for Idle Stop-Start System. What this basically does is turns off the bike when it comes to a standstill and restarts it when you get back on the clutch. The company claimed mileage is 75 km/l. The Splendor iSmart is powered by the tried, tested and vastly used 97.2cc Honda engine which produces 7.8 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 8.04 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. The Splendor iSmart also gets a vast number of changes like interesting body graphics and a side stand warning indicator.
