The country’s largest 2 wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has launched its new gearless scooter, the Maestro in Goa. The Maestro is the second gearless scooter to be launched by Hero MotoCorp after it launched the Pleasure. Hero MotoCorp had revealed its plans of launching the Maestro way long back and also showcased at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo held in January. The Hero Maestro is also the second product to be launched by the company after it launched the off-road motorcycke, the Impulse.
The Hero MotoCorp Maestro is powered by an air cooled, 4 stroke single cylinder OHC engine of 109cc displacement which develops a maximum power of 8.2 PS at 7500 RPM and a good torque value of 9.10 Nm at 5500 RPM. The Hero Maestro gets a wheelbase of 1240mm and a ground clearance of 155mm with a claimed fuel economy of 60 kmpl. The Maestro will be available in 6 colour options; Panther Black, Pearl White, Blazing Red, Electric Blue, Force Silver and Harvest Green.
Other features include Honda’s combined braking system, Digital Analog Combo Meter Console with Service Due Indicator, Multi-lever key with Magnetic head and shutter, Body Coloured mirrors, Viscous Paper Pleated Air Filter, Stylish rear grab rails and a large storage space. The Hero Stylish rear grab rails retails at Rs. 48,280 (ex-showroom, Goa).
