Hero MotoCorp is aggressively developing new models and the company has already promised us that 50 new products will make their way to their showrooms in the next three years. Late last year, the company unveiled 15 updated products of their current lineup but only one of them has gone on sale yet (the Splendour iSmart). We expect Hero to gradually start sales of the models it showcased recently with the EBR influenced Kariamzas likely to be launched next month. At the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo, Hero MotoCorp will showcase 12 new models.
This is the first time Hero will be participating at the Auto Expo, in the true sense of the word. The company has been present at every Auto Expo but this year around, they will showcase Hero and not Honda. The exhibits will give a glimpse into the future of Hero including revealing the company’s roadmap. The world’s largest 2-wheeler manufacturer will showcase both concept and production vehicles, ranging form bikes to motorcycles. The most important part about Hero’s Auto Expo displays is that they reveal the company’s R&D efforts with the products being developed in-house by Hero with help from their various partners.
Hero MotoCorp has been showcasing lots of things but the time to go to market hasn’t been realised with most of them. While the recently unveiled updated products are still being awaited by prospective customers, the LEAP scooter displayed at the 2012 Auto Expo has just disappeared from sight. Hero will also have riding experiences at the 2014 Auto Expo including showcase of stunts on the new Karizma R, Karizma ZMR, Xtreme and Impulse. Team Hero EBR of the Superbike World Championship will also be present at the biennial event.
