Hero Harley partnership likely as Pawan Munja is open to partner with premium player.

Pawan Munjal open for partnership with Harley-Davidson

Hero MotoCorp has recently showcased some new products including a new design direction with the Xtreme 160R and future high capacity adventure motorcycle prototype. The Indian bike maker is gearing up to get into higher segments.

Meanwhile it is understood that Harley-Davidson held talks with Hero MotoCorp recently for a long term plan in India, something similar to what the American bike maker did in China.

Though Pawan Munjal refused to confirm this news but he said that Hero MotoCorp is very open for a partnership with a premium player. He added that this is an era of partnerships and there are players who are looking for a certain segment in this market and Hero is looking to get into higher segments.

TVS and BMW has already partnered and come up together with three products TVS Apache RR 310, BMW G 310 R, BMW G 310 GS. Bajaj and Triumph have confirmed their partnership and their first product is arriving in 2022. Meanwhile Harley-Davidson is finding a partner in India which has manufacturing and distribution network of sub 500cc motorcycles.
