Hero MotoCorp has patented this design of a maxi scooter recently
Hero MotorCorp has filed a patent design recently of what looks like a maxi scooter. The Indian two-wheeler maker is preparing to launch new products in different segments. This will be the first maxi scooter in their product portfolio.
Currently, Hero’s scooter range consists of Xoom, Pleasure, Destini and Maestro Edge. These scooters have an engine capacity ranging from 110cc to 125cc. The Hero Destini 125 XTEC is their current flagship model. We believe the new maxi scooter will be the next flagship scooter of Hero MotoCorp.
The design looks very sporty and the scooter looks quite sizeable as well. It comes with a sharp front profile with twin headlight cluster. Gets telescopic front suspension, swing arm mounted engine, stepped single seat setup, etc.
The floor board isn’t flat, it has a tunnel sort of a panel in the middle which might affect the practicality of the scooter. You can expect a lot of under seat storage space. Hero might promote this as a crossover between a scooter and a motorcycle.
While we have no clue what engine will power this maxi scooter, we expect them to plonk in their existing 125cc engine in this upcoming scooter.
