Hero Mavrick 440 revealed, price announcement in February, delivery in April
Along with the launch of Xtreme 125R, Hero MotoCorp has revealed the much awaited flagship – Hero Mavrick 440. Price announcement is scheduled for February while the deliveries of the bike will commence from April 2024.
As we all noticed from the spy shots and the teaser videos, the Hero Mavrick 440 gets a neo-retro design. The roadster with its modern touches has a youthful appeal. It gets a muscular fuel tank, metal body parts, telematics instruments, wide handlebars, round LED projector headlights, daytime running lights and an ‘intelligent automatic headlight’ feature.
Powering the Mavrick 440 is the same engine used in the Harley-Davidson X440. It is an air-cooled with oil cooler 2V single-cylinder 440cc ‘TorqX’ engine with electronic fuel injection. It produces 27 BHP at 6000 RPM and a torque of 36 Nm at 4000 RPM. Hero says over 90% of the peak torque is accessible from just 2000 RPM. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch.
The Mavrick 440 features roadster ergonomics and Hero claims it comes with an upright riding position, spacious seat, ample legroom and optimised grab-rails. Additionally, the rider seat gets 60 mm foam.
Equipped with 17-inch wheels at the front and rear with a ground clearance of 175 mm. Wide tyres, trellis frame and 43 mm diameter Telescopic Front Forks with preloaded 7-step twin shocks are some of the highlights of the bike’s setup.
The digital speedometer with negative display offers features like smartphone alerts (phone battery status, missed call alert, Bluetooth message alert, incoming call alert) along with Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Low Fuel Indicator, RTMi Display, Distance to Empty etc.
The Mavrick 440 also comes with eSIM-based connectivity that enables real-time information, remote tracking and access to over 35 functions through Connected 2.0 technology.
The bike will be available with 3 variants and 4 colour options – white, red, blue and matte or gloss black.
