Hero Karizma XMR design patented, reveals more details
Hero Karizma XMR was recently showcased to the dealers and the side profile styling of the upcoming bike leaked. This time around we get our hands on the design patent ahead of its launch.
From this patent image you can clearly notice the design details like the clip-on handle bars, digital instrument cluster, big fuel tank design, split seat setup, petal discs at the front and rear, side mounted exhaust, split grab rail, etc.
The design looks quite sporty and aggressive to lure the young buyers. The seating posture looks comfortable and upright in the leaked images from the dealer event and some of the spy shots. Does it have the character of the OG Karizma or not? Only time will tell.
We believe the new generation Hero Karizma will share most of its mechanicals with the Xtreme 200S. It is likely to be powered by the same 199.6cc engine producing 18 PS and 16.45 Nm of torque.
The Indian motorcycle maker is yet to announce the launch date of the new gen Karizma. However, we expect it to make its debut ahead of the festive season this year. It will be the flagship motorcycle of Hero MotoCorp sitting on top of their product portfolio. Once launched, the XMR will compete head-on with the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 in the 200cc segment.
