Hero Karizma XMR has been launched with an introductory price
Hero Karizma XMR is finally here after a lot of teasers and leaks, launched with a price tag of Rs. 1.73 lakhs (ex-showroom & introductory). The new generation Karizma comes with a completely new design language and a new engine.
Let’s talk about the new engine first, it is a 210cc, liquid cooled, DOHC, 4-valve engine that produces 25.5 PS at 9250 RPM and 20.4 Nm torque at 7250 RPM. This engine is paired to a new 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch system.
The new Karizma does 0-60 km/hr acceleration in a claimed 3.8 seconds. The new engine now has an increased oil replacement limit of 12,000 kms.
The new Hero Karizma is available in three colour options – Iconic Yellow, Turbo Red and Matte Phantom Black. The bike looks sporty and sleek. Gets LED headlight with H-shaped DRLs and H-shaped LED tail light. It comes with a sizeable tank and a split seat setup.
The bike gets a first-in-segment adjustable windshield that can be adjusted up and down by 30 mm via a button. The LED projector headlight comes with auto-illumination feature.
The all-digital cluster is an inverted display LCD that offer features like smart phone connectivity for incoming call/SMS alert, turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle battery status, range, gear position indicator and shift advisory, ambient light sensor, gear shift & low fuel indicator, trip meter etc.
Hero MotoCorp claims the bike has a weight distribution of 50:50, it is underpinned by a steel tubular trellis frame. The bike comes with a front suspension that gets 37 mm dia pinch bolted forks. The rear suspension duty is handled by 6-step pre load adjustable gas charged monoshock.
Braking is handled by 300 mm petal disc up front and 230 mm petal disc at the rear. It also comes with dual-channel ABS, which is a first for the brand.
Hero MotoCorp is also offering accessories with the new Karizma including anti-glare rear view mirror, hugger fender, mobile holder, magnetic tank bag and thigh pads.
