Hero Karizma XMR launch date revealed officially
Hero MotoCorp has officially announced the launch date of the new Karizma XMR with their first teaser of the motorcycle. The teaser says ‘Witness the return of the legend’. It will make its debut on 29th August in Gurugram, Haryana.
While they haven’t announced the name of the bike officially but it is quite obvious from the teaser that hints us of their long time legendary nomenclature, which is the Karizma for sure.
The new Karizma XMR wasn’t a well kept secret for us. We gradually caught some hints of the bike under development. Few months back in March, Hero MotoCorp registered the trademark of Karizma XMR. One month later in April, we saw the test mules of the bike. In the month of May, Hero showcased the motorcycle at a dealer event and the pictures leaked revealing the design of the bike. Last week the design patent got leaked, offering more information on the bike.
The specs of the motorcycle are still unclear. The new generation Karizma is believed to come with a new liquid-cooled 210cc engine that will produce around 25 BHP and 25 Nm of torque. This is expected to come with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is likely to get dual-channel ABS as well along with front and rear petal discs.
Some of the other noticeable details include clip-on handle bars, digital instrument cluster, big fuel tank design, split seat setup, side mounted exhaust, split grab rail, etc.
The new Hero Karizma XMR will compete with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. Lets hope that they price it aggressively to cater to a wider audience.
