The special edition Hero Karizma Centennial will be sold through an auction
Hero MotoCorp has officially introduced the Centennial, a special-edition motorcycle based on the Karizma XMR. Announced at Hero World 2024 earlier this year, this limited-edition model honours the 101st birth anniversary of Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, the company’s founder.
Limited to just 100 units, the Centennial will be auctioned exclusively to Hero’s employees, associates, business partners and stakeholders. Proceeds from the auction will be directed towards social welfare initiatives. Deliveries of these exclusive motorcycles are set to begin in September 2024.
While the Centennial shares the Karizma XMR’s 210cc, liquid-cooled engine and chassis, it features several high-end components. Notably, some of its body panels are constructed from carbon fibre and the handlebar, handlebar mount, triple clamp and footpegs are machined and anodised for a premium finish.
The 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels are paired with fully-adjustable, gas-charged monoshock from Wilbers and 43mm upside-down forks with compression and rebound adjustability.
The exhaust system of the Centennial is a standout feature, comprising carbon fibre and titanium components sourced from Akrapovic. Additional exclusivity comes from a single seat with a carbon fibre pillion seat cowl and milled aluminium numbered badging on the side covers. Weighing in at 158 kg, the Centennial is 5.5 kg lighter than the standard Karizma XMR, enhancing its performance and handling.
