Hero MotoCorp’s Hunk whose 2016 facelift has been caught testing several times in the past, has now finally been spotted at a dealership completely undisguised and is ready for launch.
Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming Hunk facelift was spotted undisguised and ready for sale at a Hero dealership recently. The new facelift version has a few changes in terms of extra features, new instrument cluster and a few other cosmetic tweaks. The official date of launch for the Hunk has yet to be released, but this undisguised spotting of the bike hints at an early launch of the 150cc offering.
The motorcycle seen at the dealership, is completely sale ready leaving a few things to be installed like the side mirrors and the exhaust heat shield. The Hero Hunk comes with newly designed headlights, an updated instrument cluster with side-stand indicator and the mandatory saree guard and crash guard. Other than these changes, the bike carries with it the same trademark muscular look from its previous model.
Though the mechanical changes are still unknown and will be known only after its official launch, it’s expected that the new model will come with a slightly higher power output than the current model. The engine is a 149.2cc air-cooled singl- cylinder unit with an estimated 15.6 BHP for the new model which is similar to what is seen on the Xtreme Sport.
Once the 2016 Hero Hunk is launched in the market, it is expected to sell at a premium of around Rs. 3000/- than the current model. The bike will have heavy competition from other offerings in the same segment like the Honda CB Hornet 160R, Suzuki Gixxer, Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Yamaha FZ-S along with its own sibling, the Xtreme Sport.
