Hero Duet E electric scooter to launch in the next few months.
Hero MotoCorp had showcased the Duet E electric scooter well ahead of time at the 2016 Auto Expo. Back then, the Indian two-wheeler maker claimed a 65 km riding range and a 0-60 km/hr timing of 6.5 seconds.
The company is now expected to introduce the Duet E finally in the market in the next few months. We expect the performance and range figures to improve and even the styling will be revised for the new electric scooter.
The new Hero Duet E will compete head on with the Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube electric scooters. It is yet to be known if the Munjal family has resolved the dispute over the use of Hero brand. Nonetheless, we can see some stiff competition coming up in the two-wheeler EV space. More such products to be seen at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020.
