Hero Duet 125 and Maestro Edge 125 showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo, India launch soon.
With the Duet 125 and Maestro Edge 125, Hero has finally managed to enter the 125cc scooter segment in India. The scooters have just been unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo and a launch is expected in the coming weeks.
Hero Duet 125
The Duet 125 looks similar to its smaller sibling except for some minor tweaks here and there. To start things off, there is a front apron that gets a huge chrome insert and the panels around the headlight have a slight tweak in design. Rest of the scooter is similar to the Duet 110. The analogue-digital console, tail-light and the exhaust have been carried over from the Duet 110. The Duet 125 is available in Noble Red, Chestnut Bronze, Panther Black and Pearl Silver White.
Hero Maestro Edge 125
Like the Duet 125, the Maestro Edge too has resemblances to the 110cc variant. Visual changes include new alloy wheels with front disc brake (optional) and the ‘125’ decals. Other highlights include a LED tail-light, digital-analogue instrument cluster with side-stand indicator and service reminder, mobile charging port and a boot lamp. The Maestro Edge 125 is available in a choice of 4 Matt colours – Matt Techno Blue, Brown, Vernier Grey and Red.
Both the Duet 125 and Maestro Edge 125 come powered by a 125cc Energy Boost engine which produces 8.7 HP of power at 6750 RPM and 10.2 Nm of torque at 5000 RPM. The scooters also feature Hero’s i3S (Idle-Start-Stop system). Underpinnings include telescopic forks up front and single shock absorber at the rear.
