Hero Dealer Makes Mobile Service Sales & Service Van

In a bid to cover a larger area, one of the Hero dealers in Tamil Nadu has developed a mobile sales and service van. This helps the customers as well as the dealership.

With continuously growing competition amongst various dealerships of the same brand within the same area, increasing sales has become an extremely difficult task. Dealers are constantly coming up with new marketing strategies to increase their customer base and sales figures. Although the service truck concept has been used by quite a few car and bike dealerships across India, Muthuraja Motors, a Hero MotoCorp dealer has gone one step ahead. They have developed a truck for sales as well as servicing of vehicles in remote villages where there is no Hero dealership.

The truck has been modified extensively for adding all the requisite elements. The rear of the truck houses a vehicle display area wherein a couple of two-wheelers can be displayed and test drives can be given at the destination. Not only this, most of the servicing jobs can be performed at the destination as well which is a big benefit. Customers in remote areas have to travel to the nearest dealership in order to get the smallest of jobs done on their vehicle but such trucks eliminate this need with their scheduled visits. New customers also do not have to travel all the way just to have a look at their desired vehicle since the truck carries various vehicles on a rotational basis.

One might wonder how does a truck accommodate so many things? Well it does it and does it really well. It packs in two hydraulic ramps, air hose, generator, pressure washer, water tank, spare part rack and a fully functional work desk complete with a laptop, Wi-Fi dongle and printer to print bills using Hero’s Connect billing software. Add to that the vehicle display area and we have to say that the vehicle has been neatly packed with all the necessities. In addition to all the general tools, the vehicle also plays host to a spark plug cleaner, foam blower, polishing machine and other special tools. We hope that the concept becomes a success and is replicated across India by dealers of brands with lesser sales and service outlets in the nation.
