While Hero MotoCorp was quick to showcase its upcoming range of motorcycles and two-wheelers early last year, the market still awaits the models to hit the showroom. However scheduled for a launch this year, the two-wheeler giant has commenced testing its new range of models and its upcoming scooter the Dash 110 was recently caught testing in the country. Targeted at male buyers, the Dash will be competing against the Honda Activa, Yamaha Alpha and the likes in the segment and will be a feature rich offering.
Showcased completely last year, the Hero Dash gets a sporty exterior with sharp lines. The scooter draws power from a 111cc 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that produces 8.44 BHP and 9.4 Nm of torque. As seen in the spy shots, the Dash uses telescopic front forks, while riding on 90/90/12 front and 90/90/10 rear tyres wrapped around alloy wheels. Stopping power on the other hand will come from 130 mm drum brakes at the front and rear, combined with Hero’s integrated braking system.

To be positioned above the Maestro in Hero’s lineup, the new Dash will be priced at a marginal premium at around Rs. 55,000/- (ex-showroom).
