Haval’s mid-size SUV promises style and luxury to take on the hotly contested segment.
One of the SUVs that will be on the cards for Haval’s India operations is the F5. The mid-size SUV sits below the F7 and F7X in Haval’s line-up and may take on the likes of the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta if and when it comes to the Indian market.
The F5 carrier a bold stance with the aggressive front. The large grille, edgy bonnet, and headlamp design and rugged treatment to the bumper gives the F5 some character. From the side, a clean and athletic look gives it an air of sophistication. Indians may like it that the F5 looks very European in design.
The interior does away with much drama, preferring understated luxury instead. The show car appears to be quite well equipped with features like a touch-screen, digital instrumentation, climate control and other goodies. We expect good equipment levels from Haval cars coming to India.
The F5 will come with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol producing 166 PS and 285 Nm of torque. A more powerful 2.0-litre engine may be introduced. It is likely that the engines would be paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
