Great Wall Motors reveals new Haval SUV, to global debut later this year.
Remember the Chinese carmaker Great Wall Motors’ immense lineup at the Auto Expo 2020? They had a range of Haval SUVs on display at the biennial event. Now, they have revealed the Haval B06 SUV.
It will make its global debut later this year. First glance reveals the retro design language of the upcoming SUV. It is designed by Land Rover’s former design director Phil Simmons.
Phil Simmons is Haval’s VP and global design director currently. The front profile gets a huge grille, circular headlamps and rugged looking bumper with skid plate.
The side profile looks very similar to the Jeep Renegade. However, the Haval seems likes a much larger car than Renegade. Though the specifications are not yet out.
The rear has a glimpse of Rolls-Royce Cullinan as far as the tail light positioning goes. Otherwise it is a robust looking SUV with similar off-road oriented bumper and rear skid plate.
The interior of the Haval B06 SUV is still under wraps. However, we can expect large touchscreen, digital instrument cluster and some of the latest features in the car. Usually Haval SUVs are loaded quite well as we saw at the Auto Expo.
The upcoming SUV uses an all-new platform, which is currently not in use with other Haval SUVs. Engine details are yet to be revealed but we can expect either a 1.5-litre petrol or 2.0-litre petrol under the hood.
Great Wall Motors is currently setting shop in India. They are taking over General Motors’ Talegaon plant. Their car lineup for India is not confirmed yet.
