The upcoming Harley-Davidson Sportster model will use the Revolution Max engine
Cruiser bikemaker Harley-Davidson has teased an upcoming Sportster model that it will show to the world on 12th April. With the new bike, the American brand says, the next chapter of the Sportster legacy begins.
From the video linked above and the teaser image released by Harley, it is clear that the upcoming Sportster will come with a solo saddle, circular lighting units and alloy wheels.
It will sport telescopic fork up front, twin shock absorbers in the back and a single rotor both at the front and in the back. The exhaust is also set low, like in a traditional cruiser bike.
Rumoured to be named the ‘Nightster’, the new motorcycle will be the third model to use Harley’s Revolution Max liquid-cooled motor. But, the displacement of the engine is somewhat of a mystery.
Although the Harley-Davidson Sportster S uses a 1250cc engine, the upcoming model is rumoured to be powered by a 975cc version of the V-twin. Well, all will be revealed in less than a couple of weeks’ time.
