Harley-Davidson Nightster 440 Trademark
Likely to be the next product from the house of Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson

Harley-Davidson Nightster 440 to get a sporty bobber design

Harley-Davidson launched the X440 cruiser early this month priced from Rs. 2.29 lakhs (ex-showroom), now the American bike maker seems to be preparing for their next launch in India which will be called the Harley-Davidson Nightster 440.

Hero MotoCorp has registered the new Nightster 440 trademark recently. It gets the name from Harley’s international 975cc Nightster motorcycle.

We believe the Nightster 440 will take design inspiration from the international model. The sporty bobber styled bike will get new styling elements to differentiate with the X440 cruiser. It should get a low slung stance with a short tail, round bar-end mirrors, exposed rear shock absorbers, etc.

Compared to the X440, the Harley-Davidson Nightster 440 will be more dynamic and offer a relatively sporty riding experience.

It will be using the same platform of the X440 and the same mechanicals. Powered by an air-/oil-cooled, 440cc, single-cylinder engine producing 27 HP at 6000 RPM and 38 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM. This motor comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Harley-Davidson is expected to position the Nightster 440 under the X440. It is likely to come with the same or more affordable price range. Royal Enfield is also developing a new Bobber with a 350cc engine. We might see some stiff competition from the likes of Royal Enfield and Triumph with the new range of motorcycles.
