Legendary American cruiser and chopper motorcycle manufacturer, Harley-Davidson, has launched an all new bike, the FXSB Breakout. This new machine is a Softail and is based on the classic Gasser dragsters from the 1950’s and 1960’s which are big part of the company’s heritage. This big and bold motorcycle keeps the Harley tradition of loads of chrome, massive wheels and a huge engine intact. Harley-Davidson has started assembling bikes in India and we can expect the Breakout to be launched on our shores in the near future.
The Harley-Davidson FXSB Breakout is powered by a massive 1690cc V-Twin engine which produces 130 Nm of torque, mated to 6-speed Cruise Drive gearbox. The engine and exhaust is painted black and chrome giving it a true classic appeal. The Breakout has a 21-inch wheel at the front and a 18-inch wheel with big 240 mm section tyre at the rear. The chopped fenders, wide front forks, superb detailed tank and custom black and chrome aluminium Gasser alloys give a truly menacing look to the chopper.
The FXSB Breakout has a wide and low drag-style handle-bar and a slightly forward riding position with a very comfortable seat for cruising all day long. This Harley-Davidson motorcycle has modern touches too like big brakes with optional ABS, a security system and a hands-free key-fob. The FXSB Breakout costs the equivalent of around Rs. 10 lakhs in the USA and may cost a bit more when it comes to India. The iconic bike company has not given a specific timeline when the FXSB Breakout will be launched in India.
