More than thousand HOG (Harley Owners Group) members participated in the second annual India National HOG Rally in Goa. During the India Bike Week 2014, the roads leading from Baga to Vagator saw the traditional HOG Rally Parade that included thousands of Harley-Davidson bikes thumping and roaring together. All the bikers and non-bikers present at the festival in Goa enjoyed the immense energy of growling metal and flashing chrome. More than a thousand passionate members of HOG from the 13 chapters in India participated.
According to Anoop Prakash (Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India), the Indian National HOG Rally was a huge success in just its second year. He believes that the HOG Rallies form the core of the shared brand experience and provides an opportunity to experience the best of the Harley-Davidson lifestyle. The American bike maker also honoured the most active chapter – Bengal Harley-Davidson (Kolkata), which one the Chapter of the Year – 2013. They also honoured HOG members who attend all four zonal rallies with the special recognition of the Big 5 patch.
The India Bike Week festival also witnessed the H.O.G. Custom Contest, which is a nationwide search to discover the best customized Harley-Davidson among customers from each category of Harley-Davidson bikes – Sportster, Dyna, Softail, V-Rod and Touring. The American bike maker also chose the India Bike Week platform to unveil the India specific Harley-Davidson Street 750. The Street 750 is targeted at urban consumers and will be priced in India at under Rs. 5 lakhs (on-road). The aggressive pricing will be achieved through heavy localization of the Harley-Davidson Street 750.
