General Motors India plans to roll out engines from its Powertrain facility in Talegaon by November this year. With an investment of Rs. 5,000/- crore, this is GM’s first flexi engine plant in the country. Construction of the 160,000 unit engine plant was in full swing and the engines would be rolled out of the facility by November second week. This year an LPG version of the Beat would be launched with the Diesel variant coming in early next year. The company has found alot of success in the Cruze diesel and expects the diesel avatar of the Beat to set the sales chart on fire.
