Yamaha is considering a 250cc YZF-R250, which is expected to be a fully faired performance oriented motorcycle. The launch of the Yamaha YZF-R250 is likely to happen in 2014, as the sportsbike is currently under development. The rendering from a Japanese magazine Young reveals the modern styling elements of the R250. The motorcycle will hold the stance of the R15 but is being sculpted in a sharper and more aggressive design tone.
The styling details will give you a hint of its elder brutal brother, the Yamaha R1. From the looks of it, the rendering suggests that Yamaha will introduce twin projector headlamps on the 250cc bike along with LED treated turn indicators. There will be a brawny 17-inch tyre up front with a wide profile. The 250cc bike enthusiasts can expect splendid performance with a high revving engine, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Yamaha motorcycles are known for their strong performance with excellent racing dynamics. With the introduction of the R25 in India, Yamaha can hit the sweet spot by offering a 250cc engine with a fully faired body style, which is a perfect match for Indian bike enthusiasts. The Yamaha YZF-R250 will compete with the likes of a range of motorcycles including the Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM Duke 390, Honda CBR250R and the soon to be launched Bajaj Pulsar 375.
